Taiwo Awoniyi has reportedly completed the Director of Football programme at the PFA Business School, according to a graduation photo shared on X by media personality Pooja on Monday.

The post showed the Coventry City striker in cap and gown at a “Graduation 2026” backdrop for the PFA Business School, with the caption crediting him for finishing the union’s Director of Football course.

The achievement builds on a path Awoniyi has been on for some time. He enrolled in a Sporting Directorship course at the PFA Business School back in 2025, on top of a diploma in Business Administration and Marketing Management and ongoing studies toward a degree in the same field, well before his move from Nottingham Forest to Coventry this summer.

The PFA Business School itself only held its first-ever graduation ceremony a year ago, so a 2026 cohort completing similar programmes would fit the timeline.

Awoniyi joins a growing list of Nigerian footballers using their playing years to build toward life after the game.
