Nathan Tella reached a major milestone over the weekend, making his 100th appearance for Bayer 04 Leverkusen in a hard-fought 2-1 win over .

The game, played on Saturday, April 26, was a typical Rhine derby  tense, physical and full of moments. Leverkusen had to dig deep, but they got the job done, with Tella playing his part by providing the assist for the second time.

“It feels special,” he said after the game.

At 26, hitting 100 appearances for the German side is no small achievement. Since joining the club, Tella has grown into a dependable attacking option  not always the loudest name, but one player coaches trust to do the job.

He is the type that brings energy, presses well and can play across the front line. Whether starting or coming off the bench, he gives balance to the attack and understands his role well.

“It means a lot,” he added.

Tella also made it clear that he didn’t get here alone, appreciating his teammates and the coaching staff for helping him settle and improve.

“I couldn’t have done it alone,” he said.

The win is also important for Leverkusen’s season. As it stands, they are currently 6th on the Bundesliga table, still pushing for a strong finish and possible European qualification.

So every point now matters.

“We need to keep pushing,” Tella said.

For him, this milestone is just motivation to do more. The focus now is simple  keep contributing, keep improving and help the team finish the season on a high.

“It’s just the beginning.”

And with the way the season is going, Leverkusen will need players like him  steady, disciplined, and ready when it matters.
