Brighton and Hove Albion are refusing to give up on their pursuit of Super Eagles winger Femi Azeez after Millwall rejected two bids for the Nigeria international.

The Premier League club have already made two approaches for the 25 year old, with the latest proposal understood to be worth slightly more than £10 million.

However, Millwall believe the offer falls below their valuation of one of their most important attacking players and have turned down both bids.

Brighton are nevertheless expected to continue their pursuit as they look to reach an agreement before the summer transfer window closes.

Azeez is reportedly keen on the move, with the opportunity to play Premier League football representing a significant step forward in his career.

The winger enjoyed a breakthrough 2025/26 campaign at Millwall, scoring 11 goals and providing eight assists in 35 Championship appearances.

His outstanding performances earned him a place in the PFA Championship Team of the Year, while his form also helped him break into the Super Eagles setup.

Azeez made his Nigeria debut during the Unity Cup in May and quickly made an impact, scoring twice in the Super Eagles’ 2 0 victory over Zimbabwe before providing an assist in the final against Jamaica.

His performances have consequently attracted increased interest from clubs higher up the English football pyramid.

Millwall signed Azeez from Reading in 2024 for just over £1 million, and his rapid development means the Lions now stand to make a substantial profit if they agree to sell him.

The club have previously made it clear that they are under no pressure to part with the winger unless their valuation is met.

Millwall are believed to value Azeez considerably higher than Brighton’s latest offer, leaving the two clubs with work to do before a potential agreement can be reached.

Brighton’s persistence, however, suggests the Seagulls remain convinced that Azeez can make the step up to Premier League football.

The Nigerian’s versatility, direct running and goalscoring ability would provide Brighton with another attacking option as they prepare for a campaign that includes European football.

The situation is now heading towards the final stages of the transfer window, increasing the pressure on Brighton to improve their offer if they want to secure the winger.

With Azeez reportedly open to the move and Brighton still pushing despite two rejected bids, the Super Eagles star’s future could become one of the key transfer stories to watch before the deadline.
