Gift Orban continued his impressive start to life in Turkey with a hat trick as Amedspor thrashed Istanbul Basaksehir 5-0 in the Super Lig on Sunday.
The Nigerian striker produced all three goals after the break to complete a memorable individual performance and take his league tally to six goals in five appearances.
Orban doubled Amedspor’s lead seven minutes into the second half when he rose to meet Furkan Soyalp’s cross and headed the ball into the bottom corner.
Two minutes later, he struck again.
The 24-year-old finished a quick counter attack after receiving a pass from Ermal Krasniqi, calmly sending the ball into the net from close range.
Orban completed his hat trick with 15 minutes remaining, once again combining with Krasniqi before firing home to put the result beyond doubt.
The treble takes Orban level with fellow Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen on six Super Lig goals this season.
Osimhen has reached the mark in four appearances for Galatasaray, while Orban has needed five games to get there.
The former Gent and Lyon forward has scored against Trabzonspor, Kasimpasa and Istanbul Basaksehir during his strong opening weeks with Amedspor.
Orban joined the Turkish club on loan from Hoffenheim during the summer after spending last season with Hellas Verona in Italy.
His latest display will further increase attention around the striker, who is hoping to force his way back into the Super Eagles setup.
With six goals already on the board, Orban has given himself a strong platform to continue his revival in Turkey.
