Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare has received praise from respected Dutch football analyst Hugo Borst after his impressive start to life at Ajax.
Arokodare joined the Amsterdam club during the summer and has quickly become one of the talking points in Dutch football. His strong displays and goals have helped Ajax make a positive start to the season.
Borst, who has followed Dutch football for decades, described the Nigerian striker as “a real joy to watch” and admitted he enjoys watching him play. The football analyst praised Arokodare’s movement, physical presence and overall contribution to the team.
The former Genk striker has adapted quickly to his new surroundings and is already winning over supporters with his performances. His ability to hold up play, bring teammates into the game and score important goals has made him a valuable player for Ajax.
Arokodare arrived in the Netherlands after spells in Belgium, France, Germany and England. Despite a difficult campaign with Wolverhampton Wanderers, Ajax believed he could strengthen their attack and moved to sign him on loan with an option to buy.
Since arriving in Amsterdam, the Nigerian international has shown why the club were eager to bring him in. His performances have helped ease concerns about Ajax’s attack and have given fans reasons to be excited about the season ahead.
The 25-year-old will now hope to maintain his form for both club and country. With AFCON qualifiers and other important matches approaching, Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle will be pleased to see one of his strikers performing well in Europe.
