Nigerian forward Muhamed Tijani is attracting growing interest from clubs in the Czech Republic and Hungary as he prepares for what could be a defining summer in his career.

The former Flying Eagles striker is widely expected to leave Slavia Prague at the end of the season after struggling to secure regular playing time since joining the club in 2023.

Tijani’s situation has put several European sides on alert, with teams from both Czech and Hungarian leagues closely monitoring his availability ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

Despite arriving with promise, the Nigerian attacker has found opportunities limited, spending time away from the first team setup in search of consistent minutes. That lack of continuity has slowed his development at club level, making a permanent move increasingly likely this summer.

The 23-year-old previously featured for Nigeria at the U-20 level, representing the Flying Eagles at the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup, where the team exited in the Round of 16.  His performances at youth level once marked him out as a player to watch, but he is yet to break into the senior Super Eagles squad.

A move away from Slavia Prague could offer Tijani the fresh start he needs. With more regular playing time, the striker has an opportunity to rebuild momentum and push himself back into contention for national team consideration.

Nigeria head coach Eric Chelle has shown a willingness to hand opportunities to in-form players, and a strong run in a new environment could yet reopen the door for Tijani on the international stage.

As the summer transfer window approaches, the next step in Tijani’s career will be crucial, not just for his club future, but also for his long-term ambitions with the Super Eagles.
