Bright Osayi-Samuel Ends Transfer Speculation, Pledges Loyalty to Fenerbahçe in Title Chase
Bright Osayi-Samuel has reportedly dismissed speculation about a potential Fenerbahçe exit, reaffirming his focus on the club’s Süper Lig title charge.

Nigerian defender Bright Osayi-Samuel has put an end to swirling rumours about a potential exit from Fenerbahçe, declaring his full commitment to helping the Turkish giants clinch the Süper Lig title this season.
The 26-year-old, who has been a key figure in Fenerbahçe’s backline, addressed the speculation in a recent interview, making it clear that his focus remains solely on bringing success to the club.
“Actually, it’s hard to comment on this situation. Many people act like they know the subject!,” Osayi-Samuel Said,
“I play for Fenerbahçe and I’m very happy about it. People say different things. They said a contract was signed and I didn’t accept it, but there’s no such thing”.
“I have a very good dialogue with the president. My only thought right now is the championship. We’ll meet with our president after the season is over and see what happens.”
Dispelling Exit Talks Amid Strong Performances
Rumours had linked the former Queens Park Rangers and Blackpool star with a possible move away from Istanbul, especially after his impressive performances this season. However, Osayi-Samuel’s recent comments have put those speculations to rest.
Since joining Fenerbahçe in 2021, the pacy right-back has grown into a fan favourite, known for his defensive solidity and attacking contributions. His versatility has seen him deployed in multiple roles, including wing-back, making him a crucial asset for manager José Mourinho.
Title Race Heating Up
Fenerbahçe is locked in a fierce battle with arch-rivals Galatasaray for the Süper Lig crown, with just a few points separating the two sides. Osayi-Samuel’s presence will be vital in the remaining fixtures as the Yellow Canaries push for their first league title since the 2013/14 season.
