The Nigeria national football team have been crowned Unity Cup champions after a dominant 3-0 win over the Jamaica national football team in the final played in London.

Nigeria came into the match as defending champions and delivered another strong performance to successfully retain the trophy. The Super Eagles had earlier booked their place in the final after defeating Zimbabwe 2-0 in the semi-final, while Jamaica reached the final by beating India 2-0.

The victory further strengthens Nigeria’s impressive record in the Unity Cup, a tournament that brings together nations with large diaspora communities in the United Kingdom. Nigeria have now continued their dominance in the competition, having won previous editions of the tournament.

The latest triumph will be another confidence boost for head coach Eric Chelle and his squad as they continue preparations for future international competitions.

Unity Cup 2026 Champions

Nigeria’s convincing 3-0 victory over Jamaica ensured there was no need for penalties this time around, unlike the previous Unity Cup final where the Super Eagles defeated Jamaica in a shootout after a 2-2 draw.

With the win, the Super Eagles once again proved why they remain one of the strongest teams in the Unity Cup’s history.
