Former Chelsea Star Malouda Urges Osimhen To Complete Premier League Move

Former Chelsea winger Florent Malouda believes Victor Osimhen is ready for the Premier League, insisting the Nigerian striker possesses the mentality, passion, and leadership qualities needed to thrive in England’s top flight.

Osimhen has consistently been linked with Premier League giants such as Chelsea, Manchester United, and Arsenal over the last few transfer windows following his impressive performances across Europe.

The Super Eagles forward eventually joined Turkish champions Galatasaray on a long-term deal last summer after spending an initial spell at the club on loan. Since then, he has continued to enhance his reputation as one of Europe’s most dangerous forwards.

However, Malouda feels the next major step in Osimhen’s career should be a move to England.

“When you look at his mindset, his character, and his passion for the game, I think he belongs in the Premier League. Where would he fit? Each club has a different story, a different budget, contract conditions, and situations,” Malouda was quoted by Football London.

The former France international believes Osimhen has already proven himself across different leagues and now needs a fresh challenge at the highest level of European football.

“But I think that’s what’s missing in his career now,” continued Malouda, who won the Premier League and three FA Cups with Chelsea. “He’s done great in Italy, in France, and now in Turkey.”

“I think his next step is the Premier League and the Champions League, where he can play in a team that can win it. I would say Chelsea, and maybe Liverpool, are the clubs that would suit him way better than Manchester United.”

Malouda also highlighted Osimhen’s personality and connection with supporters as qualities that would make him an instant fan favourite in England.

“He is very energetic, he’s a leader, he is the kind of player that the fans would love.”

Meanwhile, speculation surrounding Osimhen’s future continues to grow ahead of the summer transfer window, with several top European clubs still monitoring his situation closely.

Given his physical style, relentless work rate, and eye for goal, many believe the 26-year-old has all the tools needed to succeed in the intensity of the Premier League.
For now, though, Osimhen remains focused on finishing the season strongly with Galatasaray while uncertainty over his next destination continues to dominate headlines.
