Nigeria Premier Football League club Katsina United FC have declared Striker Uche Collins missing after he failed to return to the team following their league match against Enugu Rangers on February 22.

According to the club’s management, Collins has been absent from training and official activities since that game at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium. The situation led the club to classify the player as absent without official leave.

Club chairman Surajo Umar Baba confirmed that the Striker remains under contract with Katsina United until the end of the 2026/2027 season and warned that any club attempting to sign him without proper clearance could face legal action.

Collins has been an important player for the Chanji Boys in recent seasons. His performances helped him win the club’s Player of the Season award for the 2024/2025 campaign and he has continued to play a key role in the squad.

The midfielder is also among the top scorers in the 2025–26 NPFL season, highlighting his influence in the team before his sudden disappearance.

Katsina United officials say they are disappointed with the development but remain determined to handle the matter in line with league rules while protecting the club’s interests.

The club now faces the challenge of adjusting its squad as the NPFL season continues, while supporters wait for clarity on the whereabouts and future of one of their most influential players.
