Beşiktaş have reportedly slapped an €8 million asking price on Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi amid growing interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
The Nigerian midfielder has emerged as one of the most sought-after players in the Turkish transfer market this summer following an impressive debut campaign in Istanbul.
Reports from Turkish outlet Sabah indicate that Beşiktaş have already received enquiries from several clubs in the Middle East but have rejected the opening offers, believing they fall short of the player’s value.
The Black Eagles are determined not to sell Ndidi for less than the €8 million they paid to sign him from Leicester City in the summer of 2025, which is approximately ₦12.6 billion at the current exchange rate.
Despite the lucrative proposals from Saudi Arabia and the UAE, Beşiktaş are understood to be mindful of the midfielder’s own ambitions. The club would reportedly prefer a deal that aligns with Ndidi’s career goals, with the 29-year-old still believed to be open to remaining in European football if the right opportunity arises.
Ndidi enjoyed a productive first season in Turkey after leaving Leicester City. The former Nath Boys Academy graduate featured in 25 Turkish Süper Lig matches, scoring two goals and registering one assist. He also played six games across the Turkish Cup and UEFA Conference League qualifiers, accumulating 540 minutes of action.
However, uncertainty has continued to surround his future following the appointment of Vincenzo Italiano as Beşiktaş manager. Recent reports have suggested the Turkish giants are willing to listen to offers as they reshape their squad ahead of the 2026/27 campaign, with Saudi Pro League clubs viewed as the strongest contenders for his signature.
Ndidi remains under contract with Beşiktaş until 2028, with the club holding an option to extend his stay by an additional year. Unless an acceptable offer arrives, the Nigerian international is expected to report for pre-season as preparations for the new campaign continue.
