“If he can be fit” – Sheridan backs Iheanacho to play decisive role for Celtic

Former striker John Sheridan has thrown his support behind Kelechi Iheanacho, insisting the Nigerian forward can still play a key role for Celtic but only if he stays fit.

Sheridan believes there is no doubt about Iheanacho’s quality, pointing to his experience at the top level and his natural attacking instincts. However, he stressed that fitness remains the biggest factor that could determine how impactful the Super Eagles striker becomes in Glasgow.

Since arriving at Celtic, Iheanacho has shown flashes of what he can offer.
