Fulham are yet to make a final decision on Samuel Chukwueze’s future, with the Premier League side reluctant to trigger the €24m buy option in his loan deal.
The Nigerian winger, who is on loan from AC Milan, has shown flashes of quality since arriving at Fulham FC, but the club are still weighing their options.
Despite interest in keeping him, the price remains the major issue.
“Samuel Chukwueze has become the symbol of the fans, who want to keep him in London,” Milan Press reported.
“However, the club currently considers the buyout too high and this is exactly what makes it difficult to reach an agreement.”
Chukwueze’s direct style and willingness to take on defenders have made him a useful option and he has built a connection with the fans.
But consistency has been a concern.
He has had his moments, contributing with goals and assists, but not enough to make the decision straightforward especially with the financial commitment involved.
For Milan, the situation is simple. They are open to selling as they look to reshape their squad ahead of next season.
So for now, the deal is still hanging. Fulham want him.
Milan are ready to sell.
But until there is a breakthrough on the price, nothing is settled.
