The Super Eagles of Nigeria have risen in the latest FIFA men’s world rankings, climbing up the ladder thanks to their recent performances in World Cup qualifying campaigns.

As of this update, Nigeria now ranks 41st globally, improving from their previous spot. On the African continent, the Super Eagles are now positioned 5th, behind elite nations such as Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, and Algeria.

This upward movement reflects on the positive momentum, spurred by the Super Eagles team’s string of results, tactical consistency under coach Eric Sekou Chelle, and growing confidence among both players and we the supporters.

While the exact point gain was modest, the climb is viewed as a signal that Nigeria’s football fortunes are trending upward which is a welcome boost for the squad ahead of the upcoming high-stakes CAF World Cup Qualifiers Playoffs fixtures next International break in November.
