The Flying Eagles of Nigeria have crashed out of the FIFA U20 World Cup in Chile after a 4-0 trashing by Argentina.

Despite all the effort from the U20 Nigeria boys to grab a draw against Colombia a few days ago and progress to the round of 16 to face Argentina, the opponent on the night proved simply too good for the Nigerian team.

Argentina grabbed an early goal just one minute and few seconds into the game then went on to grab a second from a direct free-kick few minutes after that.

The Nigerian team showed good spirit towards the end of the first half in attempt to pull one back but the Opponent stayed firm and ended the half with two goals up

The Argentine team quickly asserted its dominance in the game by scoring another early in the second half and added a fourth few minutes after that, putting the game far beyond Nigeria’s reach.

Nigeria’s Under 20 team will now book their flight back home while Argentina look forward to thier Quater final tie against Mexico.
