Former Nigerian international Dimeji Lawal has backed Victor Osimhen  to succeed at either Real Madrid CF or FC Barcelona if a move happens this summer.

Osimhen’s name has been in the transfer conversation again,  where he reminded everyone why he is still one of the most dangerous strikers around. His movement, aggression  and eye for goal have kept top clubs interested, and it’s no surprise his value is still being placed in the €100m range.

Lawal believes the Super Eagles striker has already done enough across different leagues to show he can handle the pressure that comes with playing for Europe’s biggest clubs.

“I really don’t think Osimhen will have any issue when it comes to fitting into Real Madrid or Barcelona. Osimhen has already shown that he’s a proven goal scorer and can perform at the highest level.

“I am very certain that he will be grabbing the goal headlines with ease if he joins either of the two clubs because they have quality players who will supply him with those passes for him to score.

“For me, it will be an easy ride for Osimhen if he decides to join Real Madrid or Barca this summer.”

Osimhen’s journey has not been straightforward and that’s part of what makes this next step important. From his early days in France to becoming a title-winning striker in Italy with SSC Napoli, he has built his reputation the hard way.

Victor Osimhen

What stands out is his consistency in front of goal and his ability to deliver in big moments. He is not just a finisher  he presses, runs channels and gives defenders a tough time for 90 minutes.

At clubs like Madrid or Barcelona, the demands are different. You are expected to deliver every week, not just in patches. But that is exactly why Osimhen is being linked with that level.

For now, nothing is done yet.

But if the move happens, it will not just be about joining a big club it will be about proving he belongs there.

And based on what he has shown so far, many believe he does.
